Botanical Lace

Botanical Lace grew out of my time working on cruise ships, when the rhythm of travel and performance often left me longing for a sense of home. I began making Venetian-inspired thinware and planting living greenery inside—delicate glass vessels that nurtured growth even while I was far away.

Over time, these pieces became more than sculptures. The plants, quietly thriving in glass I had shaped, mirrored my own journey: learning, adapting, and growing as an artist while rarely standing still. Each vessel carried both fragility and strength, a reminder that even in unfamiliar places, roots can take hold and growth continues.

This series is both personal and symbolic—an evolving conversation between glass, nature, and my own search for balance while living and creating at sea.
