This sculptural glass golf ball and tee was born from my love of finding parallels between glassblowing and golf. Both demand patience, precision, and a whole lot of practice to get anywhere close to mastery. Every swing, like every gather of molten glass, is a balance of timing and control.
I originally created this piece as part of a wedding gift for my brother — paired with a set of whiskey glasses for celebrating both victories and lessons learned. (He got to keep the whiskey glasses… but this glass sculpture stands as a reminder of the practice it takes to make anything worthwhile.)
Just like golf, glassblowing isn’t about perfection every time — it’s about showing up, trying again, and appreciating the moments where it all connects.
